Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is an international service organization, founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC in 1908. It is the oldest Greek-lettered organization established by African-American, college-educated women. Alpha Kappa Alpha has more than 265,000 members in approximately 983 graduate and undergraduate chapters in the United States, Bahamas, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Germany, South Korea, Bermuda, Japan, Canada, South Africa and more recently in the United Arab Emirates city of Dubai. Led by International President Dorothy Buckhanan Wilson, Alpha Kappa Alpha is often hailed as "America’s premier Greek-lettered organization for African-American women."
Xi Zeta Omega Chapter, with strong resolve and dedication, works diligently in the District of Columbia to provide service to youth and families who need us the most. Drawing on a reservoir of strength and commitment to serve, our sorority focuses on the immediate challenges facing our communities. We strive to impart a legacy of enduring prosperity to communities world-wide. We are indeed a sisterhood like no other. You are welcome to peruse our website and acquaint yourself with our programs.
